The sole Star Wars Item in this years Sideshow Charity Mike Nosco Foundation Auctions is the General Grievous Exclusive Edition Premium Format Figure Artist Proof. Sideshow has been dedicated to supporting local charities for many years, most notably the Make-a-Wish Foundation. We’ve raised money via auctions for seriously ill kids who were looking for a bright moment in their otherwise difficult situation.
More recently, we’ve attempted to focus on smaller charities that serve our local community but often struggle with their fund raising. Many at Sideshow live and work here in the Conejo Valley of the greater Los Angeles area, and one of the unsung charities that has done amazing work in our community is the Mike Nosco Foundation, a registered 501c3 group.
Sideshow’s local community is a celebrated region for recreational cyclists, and for the past 6 years The Mike Nosco Memorial Ride has asked local riders to stretch their physical limits in a grueling 80 mile ride through the Santa Monica mountains for a very worthy cause. Each year a small group of Sideshow employees participate in the ride, but we’ve pledged to make an even bigger difference than simply our cycling efforts by holding this auction for one-of-a-kind items, artist proofs, prototypes, and more. Our goal is to help raise as much money as possible through the sale of these unique items and donate 100% of the proceeds to the Mike Nosco Foundation.
Sideshow is calling on the collecting community to consider bidding on these very special collectibles not just as an expression of your artistic interest or collecting taste, but also as a way of supporting worthy families in their time of need. As a company, and within our community, Sideshow has been blessed. But there are many around us that are significantly less fortunate. Helping a few of them out not only feels right, it is right.
