Downton Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Valet

Via elle.com:
Taking a break from his usual villainous plotting, Downton Abbey’s conniving butler (well, really he’s the under-butler, but how like Thomas to puff up his own position, right?) Thomas Barrow is doing something good for a change. The man behind the uniform, Rob James-Collier, is raising money to run the London Marathon, but he isn’t simply asking for funds, he’s offering up an incentive to donate.

In an effort to raise money for Chilterns MS Centre, the actor created EvilButler.com and filmed a Downton Abbey-Star Wars mashup, which features some of his Downton castmates, and is, in a word, glorious. The first episode, titled Downton Wars: Part 1 – The Phantom Valet, stars Bates, who sports a cape (“Are you wearing a cape?” “Yes.” “Why?” “Cool.” “Debatable.”), makes fun of his annoying relationship with Anna (“We’re amazing, aren’t we?”), and wields a light saber. Naturally.

SO GOOD. James-Collier promises that if he reaches his £10,000 fundraising target, we get the second part of the mini film. Which, yes please! Fingers crossed the sequel includes a Dame Maggie Smith cameo.
