EA Confirm MASSIVE Star Wars Battlefront DLC Coming Next Week On PS4, Xbox One And PC

Via Dailystar.co.uk:

STAR WARS Battlefront fans can look forward to some free DLC content dropping next week after EA Brazil accidentally leak their own trailer.

EA community manager Mat Everett previously confirmed that a Battlefront update will be released sometime in January.

He never said when exactly, but he did reveal to the Battlefront forum: “our team has been working hard on our upcoming January update – first drop of free additional content.”

We’ve one week left of January, so it’s safe to assume it’s dropping next week.

However if you wanted more concrete evidence to back up this claim, you need only look at EA Brazil who yesterday shared some new footage from an upcoming piece of free DLC by mistake.

The video has now been very quickly pulled (obviously), but here’s everything you could want to know about the new piece of DLC.

First, it looks like we’ll be getting some new action on Tatooine. And given that an EA spokesperson recently said that future DLC for the game will focus on the original trilogy, another visit to Tatooine makes completely perfect sense.

In addition there will also be new outfits for Luke and Leia this month. Although we highly doubt that Star Wars fans pleas for the return of the Leia’s gold bikini will be on the card (sorry, chaps).

It has also been suggested by one eagle eyed reddit user Exsound, that the leaked video also confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront will receive Daily Challenges, Private Matches and Special Community Events with this month’s update.

Battlefront fans should also note that these free DLC packs are not part of the content included in the game’s Season Pass.

In fact since the release of The Battle of Jakku DLC released in November, its all gone very quite on that front.

Hopefully, with the hype around the film now dying down and this alleged leak confirming some new content headed our way we’ll start to see DICE rolling out more regular updates to the best shooter of 2015.
