New Star Wars: Battlefront II Multiplayer Map Locations Revealed

Via Comicbook.com:

Star Wars: Battlefront II is still a couple months out from releasing, but hype for the anticipated sequel is certainly building up. With that, the official Star Wars Battlefront Twitter page has given fans something to get excited about – a list of multiplayer maps that will be featured in the game.

It appears that the game will have eleven sprawling maps based on popular locations within the Star Wars universe, with more likely to be revealed with the free downloadable content that will be introduced with the game. For now, though, this is how the list is looking:

Naboo
Kamino
Kashyyyk
Endor
Death Star II
Hoth
Mos Eisley
Yavin IV
?????
????????
?????????? ????

As you can see, three names are still shrouded in mystery, and EA will likely reveal what those map names are over the next couple of months. But that isn’t stopping some fans from making a few educated guesses.

For instance, the BattlefrontUpdates Twitter account estimates that, based on the lettering in the final three slots, the remaining maps are none other than Jakku, Takodana and the Starkiller Base. Considering that Jakku was a popular location in Star Wars: The Force Awakens – and could be involved with the upcoming The Last Jedi film – that makes sense. But the real question here is Starkiller Base – could we be making a return to that as well, despite the fact that it was blown to bits?

Whatever the case, this provides a great deal of variety in multiplayer, as each of the maps will no doubt be massive in size. Don’t forget that they’ll be covered vertically as well, since they’re likely to be popular with the space battles that will be available in multiplayer, too. So, yeah, plenty of room to run.
