PRICE GOES UP, COLLECTORS GO DOWN by Zach McGeehon

YN reader Zach McGeehon reports in:

Within the past few months I have limited my purchases, which is always a new adventure for someone who loves buying stuff. However, many of these transactions occurred online. Since my Hasbro post in August of 2014 I believe I have purchased a total of fifteen Star Wars Black Series figures, only four of which I purchased in brick and mortar stores. It is also noteworthy that I paid far below retail for the online figures, many of which were only a few dollars a piece thanks to Amazon. The remainder of the figures came from HasbroToyShop, which was not only running a sale on select items, but also offering twenty percent off your purchase, as well as free shipping. By my calculations I paid on average $6.00 per figure, well below the retail price of $10 at the time.
