FIRST LOOK: HOT TOPIC EXCLUSIVE GOLD BB-8 FUNKO DOME!
Today, we bring you the first in hand look at the Gold Chrome BB-8 Collector’s Edition #01 (Hot Topic Exclusive). This sold out mega fast online on 11/22 for the introductory price of $20, and then was sold only in store today for the same $20, on 11/26 (if any are left) it goes to the normal price of $32.
We were lucky to get the 2nd to last one at our local Hot Topic. For those who thought this was going to be in a box just a little bit bigger than a normal pop, guess again. The box is huge and the dome and stand are awesome! Check out a gallery of images below!

Funko has finally revealed this upcoming new product, the Hot Topic Exclusive Gold BB-8 Funko Dome!
Funko and Hot Topic had been teasing us with various glimpses of what this item could be. Well now, we have our answer! And it’s an interesting one. What we have here is a regular BB-8 Funko POP given the Gold Chrome treatment and then placed on a special stand inside a acrylic dome. Not as amazing as i and some others were hoping, but it has a nice look about it. I would of preferred if it was made of a different material, of perhaps different mold or size to the original. So it was a bit lazy of them on that part! The base price of this unit is going to be $32.50, considering their regular POP price is $12.50 you’re paying $20 for the stand and dome. What do you think about it? I wonder.
There are ways to get it cheaper though, on the live periscope reveal they mentioned if you stop in early enough to grab one on the release day (Thanksgiving) then you will only pay $20! Much more reasonable. She also said that you could get it online on Tuesday for $20, her specific words were “if you pick it up online Tuesday night or into Wednesday it will be $20”. Lastly she did confirm that it would be limited, so yes definitely grab one early if you want this item. Glam shots and info coming up!
