ESPN2 Sets ‘Star Wars’ Special for Halloween

Via Hollywoodreporter.com:

In a galaxy not so far away, ESPN2 has set a Star Wars-themed special on SportsNation — just in time for Halloween.

The half-hour episode, airing Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m., will feature the majority of the main characters from the Star Wars franchise — including Han Solo, Boba Fett, Yoda, Darth Vader, R2D2, Chewbacca and C-3PO — as well as Chopper from Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively premieres the opening of the SportsNation special, featuring host Michelle Beadle. Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley will take on iconic Star Wars characters Boba Fett and Yoda, respectably.

ESPN2 is going all out, revamping the SportsNation set to look like the Millennium Falcon. The special will highlight sports clips under Star Wars-inspired categories, such as “Best Jedi Mind Trick” and “Most Unstoppable Skywalkers,” as well as premiere an exclusive sneak peek at an upcoming Star Wars Rebels episode.
The SportsNation special will re-air on Halloween in the show’s normal slot at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.
