Prince Harry and Prince William May Have Cameos in The Last Jedi

Via Vogue.com:

Are Prince William and Prince Harry headed to a galaxy far, far away? According to actor John Boyega, the two British royals may be making cameos in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“I’ve had enough with those secrets,” he told BBC Radio 4, when asked about the rumors. “They came on set. They were there. I’m sick of hiding it. I think it was leaked, anyway.”

Lest you think this will be one of those Ed Sheeran in Game of Thrones situations that plops the cameoed celebrity front and center (but seriously, did Arya kill him or not?), William and Harry’s screen time will be much more discreet. Reports say that they will be two of many Stormtroopers—the Galactic Empire soldiers in full white body armor—on a secret base.

It’s the ultimate prince perk. Both royals are Star Wars fans: Prince William has admitted he’s a “total geek” about the franchise, and William and Harry engaged in a lively lightsaber duel on the set in April of last year.

Star Wars has quite the history of hiding famous faces under Stormtrooper masks. Daniel Craig was in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and allegedly, Tom Hardy will also make an appearance in white.

But before royal obsessives mark December 15 on their calendars, Boyega had some distressing news: The Force might not have been with Prince Harry and Prince William for long.

“I think they took that scene out,” he said, possibly as a joke.
