Han Solo’s memorable spacecraft was created in an aircraft hangar in Pembroke Dock in 1979.

They’re the never-before-seen images that document Wales’ secret role in creating iconic Star Wars spaceship the Millennium Falcon.

In the spring of 1979, a construction project so hush-hush it was even given its own code name – The Magic Roundabout – got underway.

The Western Hangar at Pembroke Dock was transformed into a hive of activity where joiners, welders and platers were to create one of Hollywood’s most memorable spacecraft.

Now, new images of the Millennium Falcon at the aircraft hangar have come to light following an appeal made by the town’s Heritage Centre, which is celebrating the town’s unique link to the iconic spacecraft.
