Spencer Wilding and Warwick Davis Join Han Solo Movie Cast

Ever since Phil Lord and Christopher Miller left the upcoming Han Solo spin-off film, Star Wars fans have been questioning exactly what’s going on behind the scenes.

Sources revealed that The Lego Movie director’s style, using extensive improvisational methods and changing the film’s tone cost them the job, leading to Ron Howard coming on board.

Thanks to various reports, we now know Spencer Wilding — best known for playing Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — will have a role.

However, rather than play the iconic villain, many believe Wilding may play another character, having worked extensively in costume before, including roles in Doctor Who, Game of Thrones and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Howard has also revealed that Warwick Davis has joined the cast. The actor has previously appeared in the series as multiple aliens — starting with the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi — and was directed by Howard in the film Willow.

Asked by a fan online when we can expect a sequel to the 80s fantasy, Howard responded: “Glad you are asking for one! I directed Warwick Davis for the first time in 30 years today. It made me happy.”

Warwick responded: “Reminded me what a wonderful experience Willow was, made so by your expert direction and friendship. After 30 years, you’ve still got the magic!”
