EA has confirmed Star Wars Battlefront will be shown off for the first time at next month’s Star Wars Celebration.

The event, taking place in Anaheim, California, between April 16 and 19 was expected to be the location of the gameplay reveal following news earlier this week the publisher will be attending.

“You’ve been patient young Padawans, and soon your patience will be rewarded,” a blog post reads. “We could not think of a better or more appropriate place to debut the game officially for the first time than the premier event that celebrates the Star Wars universe and the legions of fans who have fallen in love with it.”

When we spoke to the game’s design director Niklas Fegraeus earlier this year, he confirmed the game’s been shown to partners behind closed doors already, with the rest of the world getting to see more “this spring”. Given a planned release for the end of this year, it’s about time we got to see what we should expect!
