NEW YORK, NY (November 30, 2016)—Time Inc.’s People is releasing a special collector’s issue that hits newsstands on Friday, December 2, celebrating the first-ever stand-alone movie in the Star Wars saga: Rogue One, A Star Wars Story, which hits theaters on Friday, December 16. In the special edition, Star Wars: The Secrets of Rogue One, the stars and creative minds behind the film—about Jyn Erso and her brave band of Rebels stealing the plans for the Death Star—share exclusive photos and behind-the-scenes secrets.

The new VR feature, Rogue One: Recon, comes from Industrial Light and Magic’s xLab, a new division “for immersive entertainment,” xLab’s supervisor, Tim Alexander, tells People. “You’re getting the perspective of an everyday X-wing pilot, and it culminates in a battle against the Empire.” Plus, defend R2-D2 on Tatooine or dive into the world of Darth Vader in a sneak peek at two more VR films from ILM, Trials of Tatooine and Vader VR.
