Rare Pictures Of The Filming Of The First Star Wars Revealed At New Exhibition

Via Dailymail.co.uk:

They are images that, until now, have been hidden in an archive far, far away.
But an incredibly rare collection of pictures from the set of the original Star Wars film is going on show for the first time in London.
The exhibition, at the British Film Institute’s Southbank Atrium, features never before seen Polaroid photographs of some of the main actors during filming for Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
The material was donated to the BFI by the film’s continuity supervisor, Ann Skinner in a stash of treasures that includes deleted scenes, extensive shooting notes and pages from the original film.
Some of the biggest stars are shown relaxing between takes, including Marc Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Peter Cushing.
Selected items from the archive are going on show until January 4, 2015, as part of BFI’s sci-fi season, Days of Fear and Wonder.
