LEGO Club Weekend Featuring LEGO Star Wars Miniland Model Display

The Force is strong with LEGOLAND® Florida Resort this February with the new LEGO® Club Weekend featuring LEGO® Star Wars™ Miniland Model Display! Guests can release their inner Jedi or Stormtrooper as they participate in a variety of activities throughout the weekend and are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite LEGO® Star Wars™ characters. They will also have the opportunity to join LEGO® Club and be the first to know all the great things coming to LEGO and LEGOLAND Florida Resort.

A Battalion of New LEGO Star Wars Sets Arrives for 2015

Six new LEGO sets help fans build the exciting adventures from the Disney XD series, Star Wars Rebels, five available now and one launching in June. Fans looking to build their collection of Stormtroopers will love the Imperial Troop Transport ($12.99), featuring four of the iconic troopers in minifigure form plus an armored transport pod. With Ezra’s Speeder Bike ($19.99), the young rebel hero and his confidant Sabine can outrun the Stormtroopers. 15 YEARS OF LEGO STAR WARS

This is the final part of our look back at LEGO Star Wars since its introduction in 1999 (if you missed them, be sure to check out parts one, two, and three). The first part dealt with the introduction of the franchise through to 2005, part two looked 2006 through to the 10th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars in 2009 and part three looked at 2010 through to 2012. This fourth and final part will look at 2013 to present day including the 15th anniversary of the franchise in 2014.

Before we delve into the 2013 releases, to-date we’ve had some 300 sets released (excluding the 3-in-1 sets that combine existing sets together and these are not included in any counts here) taking the minifigure count to almost 450 unique figures.

2013 was busier than 2012 with six more sets being released taking the count to 41. The planets that were first released in 2012 continued in 2013 with two new series of three sets (#75006 – 75011), but these were to be the last and Series 4, the final series, featuring Snowspeeder & Hoth, B-Wing Starfighter & Endor, and Tantive IV & Alderaan were hard to find in some territories.

LEGOLAND OFFERS SNEAK PEAK OF NEW LEGO STAR WARS MINILAND DEATH STAR MODEL

The LEGO® Star WarsTM Miniland Death Star Model Display has arrived to LEGOLAND® California Resort! The planet shaped LEGO® model, made out of more than a half million LEGO bricks, stands 13-feet high, 8-feet wide and weighs more than 1900 pounds. The LEGO Death Star is the largest LEGO model to be added to LEGO® Star WarsTM Miniland and opens to guests on March 5.

Under the watchful eye of R2-D2, a team of builders used a fork lift to maneuver the massive LEGO model into position high above LEGO Star WarsTM Miniland, which opened to guests in 2011. The LEGO Death Star is designed from the version featured in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The new model display also features the famous trench run scene where Luke Skywalker maneuvered his X-wing fighter through the combat zone to destroy the Death Star.

Below the LEGO Death Star, guests are invited to use their imaginations to construct their own LEGO starships at building stations, while LEGO X-Wings, Tie Fighters and Y-Wings circle overhead. The unveiling of the new LEGO Death Star on March 5 kicks-off the fan favorite, LEGO Star WarsTM Days event on March 7 and 8, where guests can spend the day participating in Star WarsTM related activities. LEGO® Star WarsTM Miniland Death Star Model Display is included in the cost of admission to LEGOLAND California Resort. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga Is Now On Android

When gamers first met LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game in 2005, it was a multi-platform title available for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, Gamecube, and PC (along with an isometric 2D version for the Game Boy Advance). It applied the virtual toy block treatment to worlds and events from the three Star Wars prequels, and sprinkled on some of the humor we’ve since come to expect from LEGO over the years. The game was a hit, and a sequel followed the next year that did the same thing, only with the series’ better movies and on more platforms. Then in 2007, a compilation disc arrived that combined all six episodes.

In 2013, the Complete Saga came to iOS. Over a year later, the same content is available for Android, and it’s now only $6.99.
For the time being, it looks like you will need to go through the Amazon Appstore to get it. Sad, I know, but we have yet to see the game on Google Play. Chances are it will pop up eventually, but that means waiting. The choice is yours.
