Review: Arc Clone Trooper: Echo Phase II Armor

Posted on by

Sideshow Collectibles has brought Star Wars merchandise collectors yet another great figure. From the multi award winning Star Wars the Clone Wars Animated Series Sideshow Collectibles presents ARC Clone Trooper: Echo Phase II Armor in 1:6 scale Military Star Wars collection. As a huge fan of myself when Echo and Fives was announced to be released in their Phase II Armor I was so excited. Now that I have Echo I am even more excited.

Echo played a big role in the Clone Wars series. As described on Sidshowtoys.com “Given the official designation CT-21-0408, the Clone Trooper known as ‘Echo’ earned his nickname early on for his tendency to repeat every order on assignment. Trained with Domino Squad on Kamino alongside his fellow squadmate, Fives, the two were transferred to the 501st Legion under the command of Captain Rex, and later promoted to the prestigious ARC trooper status after bravely defending Kamino from Separatist invaders.”

This is definitely one of Sideshow’s best 1:6 Clone Troopers made. The attention to detail put into this figure is nothing less than stellar. Echo comes with an all new designed portrait sculpt and newly designed ARC Trooper Clone armor. Form the screen accurate build of the armor to the amazing color paint scheme, down to every bit of extreme detailed weathering on every part of this figure. He is slammed packed with accessories and extra hands for different posing options. This is one figure that any high end collector would love, especially if you love Clone Wars. This is definitely a figure I highly recommend. If you would like to purchase this figure you can visit Sideshow Collectibles site at  Sideshowtoys.com.

HOW’S HASBRO DOING? by Zach McGeehon

It’s been a few months since my last blog post about Hasbro, and I think it’s about time we take another look at how things are going for Star Wars collectors. There’s a few topics that we can touch on, like product availability, the always looming price hikes, and the eventual Force Awakens line; however with all this in mind, I still make my weekly visits to Walmart and Target in hopes of finding something.

I’m not for sure if it’s more or less a tradition, but I still think I’ll be able to walk into stores and see a ton of figures on the pegs and vehicles on the shelves. Recently, I thought this dream might actually happen. The port strike in California had finally ended, and it appeared products may finally make it out to retailers. For about two weeks I actually even saw a few things pop up. My local Walmart started stocking several pegs of 5 POA figures, and then to my surprise, my smaller hometown Walmart received like four cases of 6 inch figures.
