ASK JAKKS – August 2015
Scott Neitlich is the Director of Action Figure and Collector product at JAKKS Pacific. He reached out to select Star Wars sites and gave us the opportunity to participate in an Q&A Monthly session called ASK JAKKS, here is our latest segment. Enjoy, and if you have a question you want us to ask Scott, let us know!
Chris from YN: Do you have any plans or ideas about doing a life size Darth Vader or other character?
Scott: Right now our BIG FIGS scale rights stop at 48” so a life size version isn’t something you can expect from JAKKS anytime in the neat future.
C: Do you have plans on making more female characters? Leia and her various costumes, Padme, Mara Jade, Ahsoka, Sabine, Hera etc.?
S: We definitely want to get some females in the BIG FIGS line and we hope to have some news to announce for this soon!
C: Have you had any thoughts on more articulation, such as elbow and knee bend?
S: Yes we have thought of this and looked into it. The issue is that our BIG FIGS are value priced at $19.99 to be the new gold standard in kid play. Adding articulation, deo and accessories drives up this price point, so to execute a more detailed or articulated version of a BIG FIG might take a more deluxe execution. Something we are exploring but do not have details to announce right now.

Final Vote Is In! The Yodasnews Readers Top 6!
Thank you for the 2,229 e-mails over the last 6 days! This response proves how much collector’s want to see a figure made and how this is something we feel Hasbro should try and do on a yearly basis. It took a few hours a day to tally the results – we just got done with the last few dozen emails that came in before the deadline. The top six figures have just been sent to Hasbro, and they are…
1) Starkiller – The Force Unleashed
2) Darth Revan
3) Gamorrean Guard
4) Emperor’s Royal Guard
5) Cade Bane
6) Sabine Wren

Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper SDCC Exclusive Unbox Part 2
Yesterday, we put up our in hand gallery (click here if you missed it) of the Star Wars Black Series First Order Stormtrooper SDCC Exclusiveand today we have him all out of the box for a new image gallery. Check out the gallery below. FYI – there is no way to remove this guy cleanly without ruining the package and cutting some tape and bands, but if you take your time, you can clip the small rubber bands on his arms and slide his feet out, and you can put him back in with just the 2 clips at the base of the feet and he can still stand okay for display.
It was awesome to be able to hold the first toy from The Force Awakens in my hands. He is a great figure (like all the 6″ Black Series) and will be a great addition to your collection. You can pick him up at SDCC in a few weeks and at Hasbro Toy Shop after the show. We want to send a big THANK YOU to the team at Hasbro and Hunter PR for sending us this early sample to share with you!
