Since the release of the prequels in 1999, LEGO has been at the forefront of each new Star Wars release, whether it be a movie or a TV show, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is no exception. There are eight new sets available with price points to suit all, ranging from $24.99 to $89.99. Each of the sets comes packaged in the new Rogue One-themed boxes featuring the ominous looking Death Trooper. Let’s see what’s out there for LEGO rebels!

Constraction/Buildable Figures

The popular Constraction or Buildable figures, first introduced by LEGO in the Star Wars theme last year, continues with three new characters from Rogue One — Sergeant Jyn Erso (set #75119; 104 pieces), K-2SO (set #75120; 169 pieces), and Imperial Death Trooper (set #75121; 106 pieces) — each are available for $24.99. These impressive posable figures are all in scale with each other, with Jyn standing 9” tall, and K-2SO at over 11” tall. New Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens Download Let’s Players Harness The Dark Side

Via Ew.com:

Relive the assault on Maz Kanata’s castle from Kylo Ren’s point of view

The Force has awakened once again – but this time it’s darker.

The latest downloadable content (DLC) for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens gives players a chance to embrace the dark side, following in the footsteps of Darth Vader’s number one fan, Kylo Ren. EW has the exclusive first look at the new episode, “First Order Siege of Takodana,” which throws fans back into the thrilling assault against Maz Kanata’s castle.

Joined by the First Order, Kylo Ren pushes forward on his search for Resistance spies Rey and BB-8. Players can wield Ren’s iconic T-shaped lightsaber and Force powers, along with the additional members of the First Order, including FN-1044 (Stormtrooper), Jascho Phurus, Rosser Weno, Stormtrooper Officer, Strono Tuggs, Thromba, Laparo, Jakku Freighter (full-size vehicle and micro fighter vehicle).

This darker take adds to the newly expanded Force Awakens story through DLC, which recently featured Poe Dameron’s narrative between crash-landing on Jakku and appearing on Takodana. Fans can purchase the Season Pass for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens to receive the latest content, as well as all previous and upcoming episodes for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. “First Order Siege of Takodana” is coming soon.

Lego’s New Krennic Imperial Shuttle Set Drops Hints About ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’

Via Dailydot.com:

The first and totally understandable question you might have when diving into the new Krennic Imperial Shuttle Lego set from the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One movie is, who or what the heck is a “Krennic?”

A picture at the bottom of the box provides a clue. Krennic is indeed a “he”—or more specifically, the white-cape-wearing Director Krennic. Some judicious Googling turns up more information.

Orson Krennic, played by Ben Mendelsohn in the movie, is the director of advanced weapons research for the Imperial military. In a nutshell, he’s the guy responsible for building the Death Star.

Such a notorious figure in fictional history should have a suitably nefarious-looking ride, which is where his Imperial Shuttle comes in.

Krennic’s ship borrows design elements from previous Star Wars films, looking like a hybrid of the Emperor’s shuttle from Return of the Jedi and Kylo Ren’s ominous transport in The Force Awakens.

Krennic’s shuttle is topped by a shark-like fin, and its wings fold down like the Emperor’s shuttle, but its black color exudes the same bad-ass vibe as Ren’s.

Details of Star Wars movie plot points are generally closely guarded secrets, which is what makes the release of new Lego sets before the associated film so interesting. Lego has a habit of spoiling such information—see the inclusion of a Giant-Man figure in a Marvel set ahead of this summer’s Captain America: Civil War.

Proposed Lego Set Has Star Wars Bobbleheads

Via Cnet.com:

A suggested new Lego set that includes a bobbing Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and Stormtrooper could become real if it gets enough votes on the Lego Ideas site.

Star Wars fans who want their favorite characters to nod at everything they say might consider voting for this new fan-created Lego set of bobbleheads.

The proposed set, created by Lego Ideas user Jalex, includes Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper, all of whom have a simple antenna that attaches their heads to their bodies, creating a bobbing effect. Each character is made using between 80 and 100 Lego pieces.

“The Lego bobblehead can, compared to the traditional bobbleheads, easily be rebuilt and the head can be detached and swapped with other bobblehead figures,” Jalex wrote on the proposal page. “The head can also be turned in all directions.”

The head of each character bobs and nods with just a light tap.

In the “Lego Star Wars Bobbleheads” video, posted Monday by the Lego set’s creator, it’s fun to see Han Solo bobble just a little while a Stormtrooper shakes so much more. Maybe that’s why Stormtroopers are such bad shots?

The Star Wars Bobbleheads set needs 10,000 votes to be considered for production by the official Lego team. Currently, the project has almost 170 votes.
