Review: Black Series 6″ Scout Trooper Archive Edition
This figure was first released as a set with his Speeder Bike, so this is a welcomed re-released single carded figure. Army builder if you will. This is a great figure with lots of articulation and a great paint job. Accessories are his blaster only. I wish he would have more accessories, like a removable helmet and flip up visor. I love the articulation of the knees. You have knee movement above and below the knee for even more possible poses. Thighs pivot side to side which is great, plus the bend at the hips. Like I said lots of great articulation. I wish they would also release a clean white version at some point, but overall this is a great figure and one you definitely need more than one of. I think this one even with only having a blaster is worth the $20 price tag. As of this posting you can grab one now for only $16 at this link via Amazon

Review: Black Series 6″ Yoda Archive Edition
I think this is a great figure with a lot of great detail. Accessories are good, lightsaber is really good (saber separates from the hilt), the cane is good but would be better if it was thicker. Belt is good, but could be better if it was wider. Snake is really good. Robe is good with nice fabric, but could be better if it was made with a thicker fabric. Figure is great with lots of articulation. I can’t compare to the first release, but overall this is a great figure and due for a re-release because the first release was hard to find. Is it worth the $20 price tag? Yes and no. Yes it’s a great figure and Yoda is a must have figure. No, because there just isn’t enough accessories for the $20 price tag. You can pick him up as of this review for $18.59 at this link via amazon.

Week In Review!
Hey everybody! How was your Triple Force Friday? As good as mine? Man, I hope not. Wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. Welcome to Yodasnews.com – Where the Bothans should have gone to get their information in the first place. Here is your week in review.
- Well, another Force Friday is in the books. The day that showcases the newest and latest Star Wars merchandise was met with desperate searching for said merchandise by collectors who were more than willing to drop some of their hard earned income to acquire it. More than one report claims that stores all over the country either had little to no new Star Wars product out on the shelves, or that the items they did have for sale were not the “Hot” Items (i.e. The Mandalorian figures and The Vintage Collection) – with some claiming that employees snagged those figs before the doors were unlocked. There is no finger pointing here. There were people who did score and some reports claim certain stores had an abundance of product. Personally, I visited two Wal-Marts and a Target only to find one Black Series 6 inch Cal Kestis figure and several Skiffs, of which I grabbed one. So, if you are lucky enough to count yourself as one who hit the jackpot on Triple Force Friday – Congratulations! Hopefully Hasbro keeps the pipeline full of Star Wars goodness so those of us who missed out can catch up with those who scored.
- According to USA Today, Porsche has teamed up with Lucasfilm to promote THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. On Porsche’s Instagram account, a photo is shown with the caption “Something exciting is coming from a galaxy far, far away”. C’mon Porsche…I just dropped 40 bucks on the toy skiff. I’m not made of money.
- Speaking of spending crazy money on Star Wars stuff because..well..what else are you going to do with it, cookware giant Le Creuset is introducing a line of Star Wars inspired, kitchenwares. From a Han Solo in carbonite roaster ($450) to a Death Star Trivet ($20), Le Creuset has got your Lucas branded, kitchen needs covered. I will now write four words I know I have never written in the same sentence before – Darth Vader Dutch Oven.

- Diahann Carroll passed away on October 4th. Best known for her work on Broadway and her TV show JULIA, Carroll was a multi-talented performer who was involved in the entertainment field for over 60 years. Of course, she will always be MERMEIA the HOLOGRAPHIC WOW from THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL in my book.
That’s all from me this week. Be sure to check out all of our coverage from New York Comic Con on Instagram, Facebook and on Yodasnews.com. It seems like there is some really cool stuff out there this year. I’m off to find a recipe for Rootleaf Stew so I can eat like Yoda when I get my BB-8 pot. If you have any questions, concerns or Star Wars recipes, hit me up at Traviscrafts@gmail.com. Until next time – Don’t bullseye the womp rats. What did they ever do to you?

Review: The Black Series Emperor Palpatine Action Figure with Throne
Amazon Exclusive Emperor in Throne price point $39.99. You can click here to order still even though it’s temporarily out of stock. It will ship once stock has been replenished.
I think the figure in all is a good upgrade to the first Emperor release. I like the cloak better than the previous release. The chair is nice, light weight and solid. The Force lightening hands are not the best. They are a rubbery plastic, I would have liked a more solid plastic for this feature. The cane is cool and made well. The 3 heads are nice but as you can see in the pictures the two extra heads are very similar and seem a little pointless.
Overall I really like it and will display this with a couple Emperor’s Royal Guards and Darth Vader at some point. But I don’t feel Hasbro gave us enough value in the extras to make really worth $39.99. Which Hasbro is very good at not giving us enough value in the extras on the 6″ line. If this item eve goes on sale on Amazon it would make it really more worth a sale price than the full price. Check out all my images in the gallery below.
